Terms of Use

The rules for using MockBase.

1. Acceptance

By using MockBase ("the Service") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

MockBase lets you create mock API endpoints that return configurable responses, simulate latency and errors, and inspect incoming requests in real time.

The Service may be used anonymously with limited capacity, or with a signed-in account for the full feature set. Some capabilities are offered as paid features.

3. Accounts

Signing in is handled through a third-party provider. You are responsible for maintaining access to that provider account and for activity that occurs under your MockBase account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to host or deliver malware, run phishing or deceptive endpoints impersonating others, facilitate illegal activity, or infringe the rights of third parties.

You must not attempt to disrupt the Service, circumvent usage limits or anti-abuse controls, or gain unauthorized access to other users' data.

Mock endpoints are intended for development and testing, not as production infrastructure for live traffic.

5. Usage limits

Anonymous and free usage is subject to limits on the number of mocks, routes, and monthly requests. These limits may change to keep the Service available and fair to all users.

Requests may be rate limited or rejected when limits or quotas are exceeded.

6. Your content

You retain responsibility for the mock configurations and the request content you send through the Service. Do not send secrets or other people's personal data through mock requests.

You grant the Service permission to store and process your content as needed to operate the features you use.

7. Paid features

Paid features, where offered, are billed as described at the point of purchase. During any beta period, features may be provided at no charge and may change or be withdrawn.

8. Availability and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and mock endpoints may be unavailable or reset at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or threatens the Service or its users.

11. Changes

These Terms may be updated as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
